EVERYONE NEEDS A FRIEND
Thank you for helping out. Our ‘Friends of ELCB’ scheme has been set up so that you can send some very tangible love our way... even if you don't play in the band you can contribute to the successful running and growth of ELCB.

HELP COMES IN MANY FORMS

Perhaps you can drive our kit to concerts, help at the reception desk, run the tea stand, sponsor a place for a young person, or nominate our charity for corporate giving in your workplace? This scheme has something for everyone who wants to support us. 

There are 3 MAIN WAYS to be a friend to ELCB:

FINANCIAL – make a one-off or regular donation 

• £5 could buy a term's supply of tea for the tea stand

• £10 could pay for a music stand clip light for performances in cinemas...

• £20 could replace a music stand

• £50 contributes towards the servicing of our free instruments for loan to those starting out in music

• £100 could buy storage boxes for our archive

or

• £5/month could help us meet the costs of putting on a concert

• £10/month could help us work with guest professional musicians

• £20/month could provide a year's tuition for a young person

• ​£50/month could contribute to improving ELCB's recruitment resources

• £100/month could pay for a young person to be trained to manage our media (video/audio) assets

PRACTICAL – volunteer at ELCB, for example, by: 

• transporting instruments to/from concerts

• setting up/breaking down equipment at concerts

• running the refreshments stands at concerts

• providing refreshments for concerts (e.g. baking)

• undertaking sponsored walks/swims etc

• marketing and promotional activities

• seeking funding from local institutions/businesses.
   

CORPORATE – get your workplace involved 

• many organisations encourage staff to volunteer

• your company might have a corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme

• is there a charity partnership programme at your workplace?

• does your business want to sponsor an event and increase its profile?

• perhaps you know an organisation that would support our outreach and participation activities

• does your company want to sponsor an ELCB van?

FRIENDS GIVE BACK

As if seeing our work weren't reward enough, to thank you for supporting us, you will be entitled to a Friends of ELCB pin badge to wear with pride. We will send Friends of ELCB email updates and also arrange an informal social event in the summer. It is envisaged that the Friends will develop into a self-managed entity in the coming years.​​​
